Welcome to the first entry of the 2011 Oscar season.
The Academy Awards will air February 27, 2011.
The Oscars this year took place on the first Sunday in March to avoid going head-to-head with the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics. This will shorten the awards season by one week. So even less time to see all of the films nominated.
Academy Award nominations will be announced January 25, 2011.
The ceremony will once again take place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood and be broadcast by ABC.
