15 documentaries made the list for possible nominations. 124 films qualified and it is now narrowed down to 15. Some of the top contenders were left off of the list, like SENNA who was pushing hard for a nomination. THE INTERRUPTERS, PAGE ONE and most surprisingly INTO THE ABYSS. I had predicted ABYSS as the winner. I guess I need to rethink this one. Here is the list of the 15 eligible docs:
