THE BEAVER was released in limited theaters this weekend. It was supposed to be released last year in time for last years Academy Awards. Mel Gibson's problems delayed the opening until this year. The reviews I have read so far have been mixed, but many agree that Gibson does a great job in the role. With a Metacritic number of 59 it is unlikely to be nominated for any awards and I don't think think that the public is ready for a Mel Gibson come back.
