Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps opens today. In the early part of the year there was some Oscar buzz regarding this movie. Maybe Micheal Douglas Best Actor, but the reviews have not been very good. It received a Metacritic rating of a 58. The Metacriric rating is the average number critics give a movie. 100 would be the highest. All Best Picture nominees last year had at least a 76. If you are only interested in seeing potential Academy Award winners this time of year you can skip this one. The prediction is that it will be the number one movie at the box office this weekend. I think The Town will stay at number one due to good word of mouth.
Save your money for The Social Network which comes out next Friday. (Metacritic rating is 100) This will be nominated in the Best Picture category, but more about that next week.
