I am a little late to the party but I finally was able to watch the Critics Choice Awards from Thursday night. It is unfortunate that every awards show has waste so much time with lame comedy. Handing out awards in itself is really not that exciting, so all these shows feel the need to spice it up with comedy. And it almost never works. The best parts of Critic Choice Awards were when it was real, the acceptionin speeches, the movie montages and albeit a little awkward, the hit from Haiti with Sean Penn. How about an awards show minus the fluff and more clips from the best movies of the year?
Viola Davis had the best speech.
One camera seemed only dedicated to Charlize Theron. She was shown a lot in the 2 hours.
